Fong gives Chinese music lectures for students and local communities. Fong’s talks on Chinese songs and music include several topics: Chinese songs, opera and singing styles China has lots of different kinds of styles songs, different songs from different region are also different. In this talk, Fong Liu introduces those styles illustrated by her singing. 20th Century Chinese songs Fong Liu will give a talk illustrated by her singing songs of Twentieth Century China such as March, 1930’s Shanghai Jazz, traditional urban folk songs, patriotic songs , Cultural Revolution songs, Madam Mao’s opera, rock and roll, contemporary and pop songs.
